Dunebrook, Healthy Families is a home visiting program for eligible families with a new baby at home or baby on the way— with support until baby’s fifth birthday. Everyone is welcome to attend our family activities, you don’t have to be enrolled in our home visiting program.

First Friday @ Dunebrook “Milk & Cookies” Breastfeeding Peer-Support & Playdate (Hosted by Certified Breastfeeding Specialist) 10am Shortbreads— Quiet floor time with our babies that can’t run or jump yet. 11am Snickerdoodles— Everyone welcome for snacks, loud and wild open play

Second Sundays, June-October “Grow with Dunebrook” Booth at La Porte’s Farmed & Forged Market 11am-2pm, activities for babies and children of all ages, all about food we grow and eat together

Third Tuesday, March-October @ Health Foundation of La Porte “Dunebrook Playgroup” 10am Themed activities to support development and bond through play for kids age 0-5 and their grown-ups .

Help Me Grow (HMG) is not a stand-alone program. It’s a system that uses existing resources to develop a comprehensive approach to building early childhood systems in communities. The HMG model helps communities leverage existing resources in order to:

● Promote the optimal development of all young children

● Help identify concerns and needs among families with young children

● Link families to community-based resources

● Work in partnership with families by prioritizing parent and caregiver goals for their children’s well-being

● Follow-up with families as well as their service and health care providers to ensure a cooperative approach to support

Moms Club of La Porte/New Prairie, IN are here for mothers to connect with other mothers, kids, events, resources and FUN activities in LaPorte, New Carlisle, and surrounding areas. We do playgroup meetups, Mom Nights Out, connecting with community resources (Food Shelfs, Dunebrook, Mental Health, Homeschool Co-Ops and more), Community Service projects and so much more. We are a local chapter of the international MOMS Club organization.

Our Greater Good exists to strengthen families and ensure every child has a chance to reach their highest potential. All prevention based initiatives are offered free of charge to Porter County residents. Growing Great Kids is a developmental guide for children birth-5 yrs old focusing on reading and language development. Lunch Buddies offer one on one weekly mentorship during an elementary student's lunchtime. Boys to Men/Girls to Women are weekly middle/high school mentoring programs designed to walk alongside teens on their journey toward adulthood. Love & Logic parenting and educator courses help equip adults with positive tools to manage common disciplinary issues while maintaining connections, instilling values, teaching life skills and fostering emotional resilience in the children.
